Our Work
The J House
It started with a chat about a new kitchen. We also shared our ideas for additional building works which we hoped to implement in a few years time. JAS Architects' design strategy advised on considering all these in the current proposed design to ensure they were all included in our approvals. This ensured the end product was exactly what we hoped for. As a team we came up with a cohesive and well thought out design to maximize our stunning view and a much loved location.
Following planning & building control approvals Jennifer liaised with a structural engineer & tendered our design for us. We moved out for eight months during the works on site but Jennifer kept us updated and was always on hand to advise and to meet the contractor on our behalf. We are delighted with the completed house. It has been entirely upgraded to a highly energy efficient contemporary home in our favourite location. Don't move, improve.

The Tal House
Working with Jennifer was a pleasure. She balanced our vision and the project realities beautifully & had a great understanding of our priorities. Her design strategy ensured the existing historical characteristics of our home were maintained & enhanced while at the same time achieving a much higher energy standard.

The Ardmore House

The K House
We are delighted with our new home. We bought a property which we stripped back to the shell. Ceilings were removed and lots of steel fitted. Jennifer co-ordinated the design and liaised with consultants, planning & building control officers on our behalf. It was a challenging time for all parties as the design & the build took place during 2020 / 2021. Our completed home is exactly what we designed & hoped for thanks to JAS.
F&C GRAHAM
This was an exciting refurb & extend on a very compact & restricted site. Spectacular views along the river & across the city placed a huge emphasis on opening up & using the rear elevation. Our client had a fabulous vision for this urban 3 storey townhouse. We achieved Planning Approval and Building Control approval very quickly and tendered the build. We achieved full Planning Approval for our replacement dwelling in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. JAS worked closely with us on the design & within the guidance stipulated by planning documents for this special site. JAS worked to our tight deadline & we were delighted to achieve full Planning Approval. JAS kept us well informed throughout. The design required no design changes or alterations. Success!

We had the space but our rooms were so disconnected. We worked with JAS on detailed layouts to achieve the optimum seating & space arrangement for our family. We are delighted with our 'new' home & it was all achieved without extending or requiring planning approval. Based our recommendation, JAS has been appointed by friends to design their new-build home.
